A PPBS test alone cannot diagnose insulin resistance, but high postprandial blood sugar levels may indicate impaired glucose processing, which is often associated with insulin resistance. Additional tests, such as fasting insulin levels, HbA1c, or a glucose tolerance test (GTT), are typically needed to confirm insulin resistance. Your doctor will interpret PPBS results alongside these tests to assess your metabolic health.
