While a KFT test cannot directly diagnose kidney cancer, it may reveal signs of kidney dysfunction caused by tumors, such as elevated creatinine or abnormal electrolytes. Blood in urine (hematuria) detected in urinalysis might also suggest kidney abnormalities, including cancer. However, imaging tests like ultrasounds, CT scans, or MRIs are required to confirm and locate kidney cancer. KFTs are part of a broader diagnostic process and are useful for monitoring kidney health during cancer treatment.
