What is the difference between serum calcium and urinary calcium tests?

A serum calcium test measures calcium levels in the blood, while a urinary calcium test evaluates how much calcium is excreted in the urine. The latter is often used to diagnose kidney stones or monitor calcium metabolism disorders. Together, these tests provide a comprehensive view of calcium balance in the body.
