Can a calcium test detect Paget’s disease?

A calcium test may indicate abnormal bone activity associated with Paget’s disease, a condition where bones become weakened and deformed due to excessive remodeling. While calcium levels might remain normal in some cases, elevated alkaline phosphatase levels often suggest Paget’s disease. Additional imaging and tests are required for a definitive diagnosis.
