SupportHealth Plays a Vital Role in your Career Growth
“I have so much to do but I am so low on energy.”
“I get so tired by Wednesday that I really don’t feel like working after that.”
Does this sound like you or a friend who has told you this before?
As an entrepreneur and fitness enthusiast myself, I have been doing a lot of research on the whole concept of health and growth and how it is all so related with one another.
There is no doubt about the fact that everyone has become so health conscious and more aware about how to maintain their own fitness, but have we really thought of the fact that it also plays a role in building our career?
I have heard so many entrepreneurs talk about how passionate they are about what they do, but soon they run out of fuel because that passion tired them physically and mentally and they don’t even realize it.
Sluggishness, feeling tired, and sometimes even boredom is not only because there is a lot to do in building your career, but a major role is played by our energy levels. Now I am not saying that we have to be at the peak of our energy levels all the time but in the end, what is really important is that when it’s required to play at that peak level, we should be able to.
Here are a few questions that you could ask yourself to see if your current state of health is in line with your career growth:
- Have I been performing well in my career?
- Am I consistent in achieving my goals or completing my tasks for the day?
- When I communicate with people, is my energy high or low?
- Am I working out at least 5 hours a week (1 hour a day)?
- Do I have a good morning routine?
The above questions should give you an idea and a fairly good one :)
Taking our health seriously is the secret to performing better in building our career. Passion might be fueled by an intention to do something you love. But with that intention, showing up for yourself by taking care of your health is vitally important.
